Important notice: Welcome to CIT 2021

Due to the spread of COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”) and the state of alarm derived from the aforementioned crisis, the CIT2020 Organizing Committee and the Board of the Transport Engineering Forum (FIT), have agreed to postpone ONE year the celebration of the XIV Transport Engineering Congress. Now the XIV Transport Engineering Congress is CIT2021 and will be held from July 6th to 8th, 2021.

The CIT2020 registrations, abstracts, and papers received to date could be kept for CIT 2021. In September, a new period will open to receive new summaries and request the modification of those already sent.

We also want to take the opportunity to report that the sessions of young researchers scheduled for CIT2020 and the IV FIT Scientific Campus (initially scheduled for 2021) have been merged into the CAMPUS FIT 2020 Conference to be held virtually from June 24th to 26th, 2020. The main objective of this virtual Conference is to give young researchers the opportunity to present their work, to exchange information and scientific experiences, and to promote new ideas and lines of work.

We sincerely thank all authors, registered participants, sponsors and partners for their continued support of CIT 2020, and we hope that it will be extended to CIT2021, and we want to take this opportunity to express our solidarity with those affected by COVID-19 and our support for those who work to combat the pandemic.

INFO

14th Conference on Transport Engineering

The 14th Conference on Transport Engineering (CIT 2021) will be held in Burgos (Spain) from 6th to 8th of July 2021. The venue of the Conference will be the Higher Polytechnic School of the University of Burgos.

The slogan of the CIT 2021 is: “R-Evolution of Transport”.
This theme arises that the current situation of transport, with costs and externalities (congestion, emissions, fuel consumption, road accidents, etc.) increasingly higher, need a change to return to the sustainable path. Therefore, we can ask ourselves if we need to evolve the traditional modes of transport or, on the contrary, what is needed is a revolution, involving a really significant change in the current trend.

As in previous editions, the CIT 2021 seeks to promote national and international exchange of scientific and professional works in different areas of transport, in search of solutions that allow us to follow this “R-evolution of transport”. A selection of papers will be published in a special issue of the journal Transportation Research Procedia, by the international publisher Elsevier.

CIT is promoted by the Transport Engineering Forum (FIT), a non-profit academic organization, whose aim is to promote and organize the conference, as well as to ensure its quality and orientation.
