Members of the project contributed four presentations

The 1st Iberian Meeting on Agroecological Research took place in Evora, Portugal, the 22nd and 23rd of November 2018. Attending the conference were project team members Evan Marks (UBU), Violeta Hevia (UAM), Silvia Castro (UC) and Lucie Mota (UC). Dr. Marks’ oral presentation discussed the management of floral meadows and a cost-benefit case study, while the poster described the estimation of a pollination buffer. Dr. Hevia’s oral presentation centered on the benefits to pollinator communities and sunflower seed set measured in the 2017 campaign. Finally, Ms. Mota’s poster presentation centered on observation data from the Burgos field site, reporting a number of interesting effects of the flower meadows on pollinator communities. Overall, the presentations from the team generated interest from other attendees. The presentations can be viewed and downloaded in the materials section of the project website, here.
