Biography
Education .Dr. Dumitru Ulieru graduated in Electrotechnics Engg by Technical University Jassy,Romania and received his PhD in Microelectronics (1997) by Polytechnica University Bucharest /Dept of Electronics and Telecomunications .Dr Ulieru is graduated of Bucharest University/English Dept.(L)(1984) and VolksUniversität Bucharest /German Dept(L).(1989).
Work experience
(i) Radio Components and Semicondutors (IPRS) Baneasa SA/Bucharest for 3 years
(ii) Electronic and Electrotechnics Products Enterprise (IPEE-ElectroArges ) company as Senior Enginer and
Technical Manager for 12 years.(iii) Microelectronica SA Bucharest as Senior Researcher,Technical/Production Manager for 12 years till 1984.
(iv) Romanian Electronic Modules and Semiconductors (ROMES SA) company as R&D Director and International Cooperation and Business
Development Mgr for 12 years.
(v) SITEX 45 SRL Bucharest, R&D Director and International Cooperation and Business Development Mgr.since 2006. With more than 40 years of experience in semiconductors and micro/optoelectronic components design and manufacturing, microsensors/microsystems like
MEMS/MOEMS,wireless sensors and smart systems integration,optical systems and photonics instrumentation, RFID`s devices and IoT(Internet of Things) applications.
He is author of over 120 papers presented at international conferences, workshops and symposiums,fairs.

Dr.Dumitru Ulieru had developed fruitful activities on the R&D, prototyping and microproduction of innovative sensing devices, wireless sensing networks and integrated instrumentations .He has a successfully activvity as project coordinator, project responsible for more R&D projects under national programs like MATNANTECH (New materials, micro and nanotechnologies), CEEX (Research of Excellence ) and national R7D Programs PNII/Innovation and Partnerships (2007-2013) and PNIII(2014-2020) as well as for European projects under FP5, FP6, FP7,,H2020, MNT-ERA NET and M-ERA-NET, MANUNET, Euro-Nano-Med, ,Marie Curie, Σureka / Eurostar. He was IAB (Industrial Advisory Board) member for 4M NoE for 6 years, and actually for 4M Association /Cardiff University and Project 4M 2020 /P7 project (started 2013), beeing coordinated by Birmingham University/Mechanical Engg. School(UK).
