Dimitra Danai Varsou

Chemical Engineer M. Eng. Dimitra Danai Varsou, studied at the School of Chemical Engineering at the National
Technical University of Athens (NTUA). During her studies, she focused on Computer Programming and
Computational Techniques, on Transport Phenomena and Thermodynamics. During March to September of 2016
she conducted her Diploma Thesis entitled “Bioinformatics toxicological analysis of genomic data” that was focused
in predicting nanoparticles’ toxicity using read across. She has also developed an open-source, user-friendly web
application named “toxFlow”, for enrichment analysis of nanoparticles’ omics data, coupled with read-across
toxicity prediction. She is conducting her PhD in NTUA on the development of computational techniques for
material property prediction. Since October 2016 she has joined NovaMechanics Ltd, being responsible for the
development of computational tools for nanosafety assessment and big-data analysis.
