INTRODUCTION

The “Intensive Program Erasmus”, titled Get to know and share European heritage: publishing and editing markets of literary texts is one of the seven European educative program selected in 2012 by OAPEE (Autonomous Agency for European Educational Programs) for funding.

Coordinated by the University of Burgos, it will take place in the city of Burgos from June 23rd to July 7th 2013.

Participating teachers and students will be from Burgos as well as from seven other European Universities:

  • Westfälische Wilhems-Universität (Germany)
  • Université de Poitiers (France)
  • Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain)
  • Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy)
  • Sofia University, St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria)
  • Université de la Sorbonne. Paris III (France)
  • Uniwersytet Wrocławski (Poland)

Burgos, a crossroads between Spain and Europe, brings together three places of World Heritage: archaeological-paleontological deposits of the Sierra de Atapuerca, where the remains of the first inhabitants of our continent were found, the Camino de Santiago (St James' Trail) route of a cultural and human exchange from different parts of Europe, and the beautiful gothic cathedral, one of the most important manifestations of this art in stone.

This summer, this city and its University will be the meeting place for teachers and students from six European countries. They will exchange their knowledge of several cultures, with particular attention to their Literature and its expansion in Europe, visiting landmarks in Burgos and its surrounding areas, and collaborating in a teamwork environment with students having a strong leading role in order to expand knowledge, research and relationships and also to open new collaboration channels for future Erasmus Mundus projects.

You will all be welcome.
