EIP Raw Materials 1.8 Commitment Subst-Extreme

This action group aims to achieve sustainable substitution in extreme conditions. The activities of this commitment focus on: 1) substituting or reducing the use of scarce elements in stainless steel and heat resistant superalloys used for high-performance structural elements for aerospace and energy industries (coordinated by UBU-ICCRAM).
2) substituting or reducing scarce elements in hard materials used for cutting tools, wear parts or in mining applications (coordinated by VTT) .

EIP Raw Materials 1.7 Commitment RESET

Part of the continuous activities of the Action Group -1.7 – commitment RESET, a parallel workshop will take place between the members of the commitment RESET. The workshop will discuss a summary of the actions carried out during the first semester of 2015, and the future roadmaps and targets for the commitment. A dedicated debate will take place in order to discuss future actions in synergy with industry.

EU-Nanofutures WG in CRMs

An international working session for the analysis of the present and future role of Critical Raw Materials. Scientific experts will also analyze the Nanotechnology as a vehicle for substitution of CRMs in present and emerging industrial technologies.

The meeting will be chaired by Dr. Santiago Cuesta ( Chairman of the NANOFUTURES Working Group, Director of ICCRAM).

EIP Raw Materials Public round table Raw Materials in our society

Round table with intervention of public authorities and experts to communicate to the general public and students the importance or critical raw materials, the role of circular economy in the management of resources, and how to develop new technologies in a sustainable way.

Session will be in Spanish.
